The Die Hard movie is a kind of film that is representing the action pictures of modern
days and it should be judge based on its standard. Several films if you notice is just
merely empty entertainment that is far different with this movie. This film will give you
the thrill you've wanted and also the villains in this movie are the best ones, especially
it has the hero that everyone can relate with, witty dialogues and some pyrotechnics that
would impress you.
John McTierman is the director of the movie, the same who directs the
"Predator". He is responsible in making this movie a classic with modern action
and up to the end it does not slow down. A pacing master, McTiernan is with the help of
Jan De Bont camera work. In a lot of ways this movie is explosive, it will keeps your
adrenaline flowing with the noisy and lavish extravaganza.
The best actor Bruce Willis would be the perfect wisecracking John McClane, the
"everyday" guy who would get caught up in the circumstances that would force him
to be playing the reluctant heroes. This would be the person that we would love to root
for, even thought everything that he would be doing would be totally impossible for any
human to do. Willis' acting skills would be very limited, but it is very hard to imagine
different people tryign to play this role.
Hans Gruber (played by Alan Rickman) gives a new meaning to the word villain. This villain
is not only a charming gentleman but has violence mixed in with all of it. He is very
smart and Alan Rickman can sure play this part like he really is Hans Gruber and can force
the audience to love and respect the villain.
Their supporting cast would give the solid performance, even though would not be
talent-stretching roles that had to be filled at all. Bonnie Bedelia and Reginald
Veljohnson are very noteworthy to name a couple. William Atherton is played a tabloid
journalist and did a very nice job at it.
Bruce Willis is John McClaine that gets your attention and hold your breath whether he is
barefoot racing a littered flood with the shards of glass, throwing himself out of the
building that is exploding or climbing up to the elevator shaft. Die Hard is not a poetry
motion picture but it is showing an entertainment that is raucous that industry has the
ability of delivering. This is a must see movie.
